Inspiring Christian songs I love, and would like to share with you!

There are a few secular songs included because I either just enjoy them or they are of historical interest. And a few videos about Keith Green that are not songs, but I wanted to include them because of their significance. Organized by singer/band.

Keith Green

Keith Green tried most of his life to become a famous singer/songwriter, but in the 70’s he never hit it big, until he made Jesus his Lord, and then God did great things with his music. Partnering with the Lord is always a good business decision! The young Keith Green was killed in an airplane accident in 1982, but his music legacy lives on.

• Gospel great Keith Green – at 11 years old (not Christian at this age); his first TV appearance (the song performed is secular at this point in his career)
• Keith’s Testimony from 1982 – [Not a song, but so worth watching this 15 minute clip] Keith is so real in this interview. The cost of following Jesus is… everything. Keith said, “If it wasn’t for hypocrisy I would have become a Christian 5 years before”. How did you know Jesus is real? He changed me.
• Your Love Broke Through – what its like to become born-again

Jason Gray

These are some of my favorites by Jason Gray, an anointed Christian singer/songwriter. His humility and transparency are so powerful on stage; I have seen him live twice at small church settings, and it was a tremendous blessing both times. Worth seeing if you can. And, he is funny!

• Hoshiana – a prayer for salvation for the nations
• He’s Coming Again – with scenes from Jerusalem

• Lechu Neranena – Come Let Us Sing (Psalm 95:1-6) – is in Hebrew but well worth listening to
• Hine Yamim Ba’im – Behold Days are Coming (Jeremiah 31:31, 33) – also in Hebrew; the Lord will make a new covenant

Caedmon’s Call

• Thankful – its’ not about what we have done, its all about Jesus! An upbeat, encouraging song
• Faith My Eyes – not quite a favorite, but is interesting.

Petra

A Christian Rock band from the 1980’s but timeless powerful lyrics!

• The Coloring Song – a happy song
• This Means War! – angst.
• Beyond Belief – each of us has a journey
• Creed – Biblical Truth! What I believe.

Jordan Feliz

• Never Too Far Gone – Come to God just as you are, no need to get cleaned up first!
• Beloved – You are so, so, so loved! Really!
• The River

Newsboys

• Shine – Awesome song, uplifting. “Shine, make ’em wonder what you got, make ’em wish that they were not, on the outside looking bored.”
• He Reigns – Another great song. Takes me back to my days of seeking Jesus and not giving up

Paul Wilbur

Well known Messianic musician with full musical ensemble with awesome instruments such as violins, etc.

• The Watchman – are you ready? Is your lamp filled with oil? Powerful video images.
• Baruch Adonai – can’t help dancing to this praise song! Fast with awesome syncopation.

Steve Bell

• Here by the Water – nice song done with acoustic guitar

Lauren Daigle

• Oh Lord – Lauren has an amazing voice

Ted Sandquist

• Lion of Judah – an oldie from 1977, scripture truth

Michael W Smith

• Above All – a classic worship song, slow and reverent

Third Day

• God of Wonders – worship song from 2000, as performed by Third Day

Unspoken

• The Cure – the King and the Beggar bleed the same! The Cure? JESUS!
• Open the Clouds – another good song to dance to! Or just watch the happy people dance!

Robin Mark

• One Day – An awesomely happy hopeful praise song about our future eternal life with the LORD! Nice long live version of this song 6+ minutes.
• Days of Elijah – another upbeat song, out King is coming! Rejoice!

Casting Crowns

• Praise You In This Storm – when we are going through, just praise God.
